The Senior Support Program provides in-home supports to vulnerable older Calgarians that assist them to stay in their homes and retain their long-time community connections. Trained Senior Support Workers travel to residences throughout Calgary and provide help such as light housekeeping, laundry, companionship, shopping, and meal preparation.
The help provided is agreed upon by the senior client and a Calgary Family Services Supervisor during an assessment visit.
Senior Support Workers are carefully matched with clients and provide essential non-medical care to older adults that helps them remain healthy, happy and living in familiar surroundings for as long as possible.
This program also offers short term emergency child care for families in crisis.
