The Way In - Calgary Older Adult Services
Community Outreach

Calgary Family Services provides outreach to vulnerable older adults and their families who live in North, West and Central Calgary. Calgary Service coordinators provide information and connect people to services and resources that they need to remain active and engaged in their community.


The Way In Program's purpose is to enhance the quality of life of older adults 65 and over in their homes and neighbourhoods. The Way In team will help you or your loved ones connect with services and supports in your community including:

  • preventing isolation (physical and social)
  • information and referral services
  • assistance with benefit applications and financial services
  • short term supportive counselling group work
  • workshops

Eligibility and intake

Calgarians over the age of 65 are eligible for Outreach services. You can meet with an Calgary Service coordinator in your home, at our office, or at a community location. To make an appointment or for more information please call:

Cost

Due to generous support from the City of Calgary's Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) this program is available at no cost.
