Elder Service Corps members are older adults (65+) who want to use their skills and experiences to contribute to community well-being. The program combines opportunities for life-long learning and life-long service to create meaningful and lasting connections.

By attending Nurture Yourself presentations, you will develop awareness of your inner potential. The skills learned will help you to feel in control of your life and allow you to implement a plan for a positive future.

Training Institute - Facilitating Skills for Enhancing Self-Esteem
This four-day seminar is open to qualified professionals, particularly counsellors, psychologists and social workers who work with individuals seeking help in the areas of self-esteem and empowerment. Participants will learn key concepts of self-esteem and self-awareness and the basic components of the Holistic Model of Self-Esteem.
Presentation skills and an understanding of group dynamics will also be taught to optimize delivery of a seminar. Participants will also create a personalized version of the materials and program knowledge, and give a tailored Nurture Yourself presentation while receiving feedback.
